Events
ElNet Cafe Melbourne will hold its last Event for the year on Monday 10th November.
How
can information and communications technologies be used to promote
effective learning and teaching? What are its key affordances for
learning and teaching? Are we making optimal use of the key affordances
of the e-learning technologies in designing and developing our learning
and teaching resources and environments? In this discussion, led by Associate Professor Som Naidu,
we will focus attention on the ability of these technologies to promote
“Effective, Efficient, and Engaging (E3) Learning in the Digital Era”.
We will examine what these attributes mean, and what is the current
thinking and literature on these lines.

AIMIA Innovatives Program

Rewarding innovation in digital media |
The
AIMIA Innovatives Program launched across Australia in March 2008 to
help digital media entrepreneurs to progress their innovative ideas
from early concept stages to commercial launch. The scope of the
program covers new concepts for digital content, new media distribution
and much more.
The program is a joint initiative set up by
the ABC's Innovation division, Deloitte and Intel and is offered free
of charge to promote innovation in the industry. To date, six talented
Australian digital entrepreneurs have been hand-picked to develop their
ideas with technical, business, legal and creative support from the
AIMIA Innovatives partners.
We are calling for more entries
from people with a radical innovation in digital media who would like
the chance to receive support from the program. See the link for an
entry form www.aimia.com.au/innovatives or email
